mL = units ÷ unitsPerMl
mL = 10 ÷ 100 = 0.1000 mL
Assumptions
- Default syringe is U-100 (100 units = 1 mL)
- mg ↔ units conversions require knowing the solution concentration
- 1 mg = 1,000 mcg — mcg equivalents shown where applicable
- All conversions are exact arithmetic (no rounding applied)
How This Converter Works

The converter uses the syringe calibration factor (units per mL) to translate between volume and syringe markings. For a U-100 syringe, 1 mL = 100 units, so dividing or multiplying by 100 converts between the two.
When converting to or from mg, you also need to know the solution concentration (mg/mL). The converter chains the two steps: units ↔ mL ↔ mg.
Assumptions & Limitations
- “Units” on the syringe are volume markings, not pharmacological units (IU). One U-100 syringe unit = 0.01 mL.
- mg conversions require knowing the solution concentration. Without it, only units ↔ mL is possible.
- All conversions are exact arithmetic — no rounding is applied.
- Default syringe type is U-100. Change to U-40 or U-50 if you use a different syringe.
